Undefeated Cuban middleweight contender Yoenli Hernandez has signed with Dream Bigg Management as he seeks to continue his professional development.

Hernandez (4-0, 4 KOs) is a two-time world amateur champion (2021 and 2023), despite having never represented Cuba in the Olympics or being crowned a Cuban national champion. In May 2023, Hernandez abandoned the Cuban delegation during a stopover in Panama, eventually resettling in Providence, Rhode Island.

After stopping Alejandro Barrera in seven rounds June 7 in his most recent bout, Hernandez is already ranked No. 10 by the WBA and No. 15 by the WBC – despite having made only four fights as a pro.

Robert Valle, owner of Dream Bigg Management, has begun landing some of Cuba’s best talents, including Hernandez, after an early experience soured him on boxing management and he stepped away from the business.

“I left boxing with a bad taste, but my friends kept telling me to try again, Valle said. “A friend from France called about a Cuban gold medalist [Hernandez]. I got to know him, helped him out in Panama, and he signed with me. And then we were off to the races.”

Dream Bigg’s growing roster includes four other Cuban prospects: lightweight Armando Martinez Rabi (11-0, 10 KOs), junior middleweight Pedro Veita (5-0, 5 KOs) and middleweight Ronny Alvarez (2-0, 2 KOs). Others include welterweight Luis Ramos (2-0, 2 KOs) and junior welterweight Thomas Blumenfeld (4-0, 3 KOs).

“I made a lot of friends with fighters like Rances Barthelemy, who I’ve known for years,” Valle said of the Cuban two-division title winner. “And he, like some other fighters, let me know when there are good prospects – especially Cubans – who need a good manager.”
