William Scull, now 23-0,  won the vacant IBF super middleweight title with a unanimous decision over US-based Russian Vladimir Shishkin.

It was scored 116-113, 116-112 and 115-113  for Scull after a close, tense, tactical fight in which Shishkin tried to attack while Scull was looking to counter.

Neither man was particularly successful and many rounds were close and difficult to score with few effective punches landing. There were no knockdowns and no drama - until the last round when it for a moment looked as if Scull was hurt and Shishkin finally would break through.

However, Scull smothered his opponent and boxed his way out of the trouble. BoxingScene had it 115-114 Scull.

Heavyweight Dusan Veletic (8-1-1) won the vacant International German (BDB version) title with a unanimous decision over Czech Tomas Salek (22-6). Veletic picked up a cut in the third by the right eye but otherwise was a one-sided matador vs bull fight won on scores by 98-92 twice and 97-93. The rounds that Salek won was mainly due to Veletic not doing enough.

Super welter prospect Paul Wall (8-0) stopped Finn Nourdeen Toure (12-3) in the seventh after a one-sided fight. Wall, a southpaw, landed well in almost every round but couldn't find the finisher. Toure had  a good fourth round but was for the most part too wild with his punches. In the seventh Wall hurt his opponent for real and referee Andreas Schweighe made a timely stoppage at 2:53. It was scheduled for eight.

Hard-punching heavyweight Sanel Hasanovic (8-1-1) stopped Christian Demaj (7-4)  at 2:04 of the fourth round of a scheduled eight. Demaj, short, stocky and tough, tried to put pressure on his bigger, taller opponent and did well early but Hasanovic found the range and hurt Demaj with uppercuts. Demaj's left eye was closing and his nose was leaking blood. Hasanovic poured it on and hurt Demaj, who first took a knee, then got up but moments later retired himself - and it was a smart move.
