The four partners of Boxing 5 put their arms around each other and embraced in the ring after their maiden show on DAZN, signing off on their 10th show in just 19 months. Promoter Larry Wainstein was absolutely elated - "Isn't this great for the Fighters?"

It was the third sold-out event in a row with 800 tickets being sold.

The main event saw Kaine Fourie, living up to his nickname of "K9," taking apart East London's co-challenger Siseko Makaleni inside the opening round of a lightweight contest scheduled for 10.

Fourie was all business and started the contest at a blistering pace, establishing his jab early. An overhand right to the side of Makaleni's head resulted in him losing his legs and getting knocked down. He never recovered, and it was pretty much all over bar the shouting as another two knockdowns sealed the deal.

South African heavyweight champion Shaun Potgieter did what Ruann Visser could not do, and that was beat and knock out Malawian Musa Ajibu in two one-sided rounds, taking his record to 10-1 with 7 KOs. Wainstein said beforehand that this was a "keep busy fight," and it proved to be just that.

Fight of the night was won by Cape Town's Ishmaeel Kadri against East London's Asiphe Ntshili.

Kadri was dominant throughout and came close to knocking out Ntshili with a huge right hand at the end of the fifth round, dropping him heavily. Ntshili used all his experience to see out the remainder of the contest but, in the process, took a beating.

The fight between Welcome Malumbu and Joshua Feldman was bizarrely called off at the venue, with BSA Doctors declaring that Malumbu was medically unfit to fight. Feldman's hands had been taped up, and he was ready to go but ultimately left bitterly disappointed.
