IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (25-1, 13KOs) is not bothered by Steve Cunningham's claims of being robbed last Saturday night in Neubrandenburg, Germany. Hernandez won the title with a six round technical split decision. The fight was stopped at the end of six rounds when Hernandez's corner alerted the referee that their boxer's vision was being affected due to two severe cuts, which resulted from accidental head clashes.

Hernandez believes Cunningham (24-3, 12KOs) is throwing stones in a glass house. The Cuban boxer is confident the referee saved Cunningham from being knocked out in the first round. Cunningham was dropped very hard at the end of the first and had trouble recovering from the blow. There have been a few pundits who were critical of the referee's "slow count."

"I am happy to be the new champion. And I was ready to go the full twelve rounds. But suddenly I got head-butted. The wounds bled so much that I couldn't see anything. My eyes were full of blood. The fight had to be stopped. And the referee, he counted incredibly slow [when Cunningham went down]. Cunningham was saved from the break [between rounds]," Hernandez said.
