USF Sundome, Tampa, Florida - The first official bout in the new era of Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN, Detroit’s Tony ‘Superman’ Harrison (22-1, 18 KO’s) suffered his first loss when he was knocked out by upset-arist Willie Nelson from Cleveland, Ohio (24-2-1, 14 KO’s). They fought in the junior middleweight division.

Nelson came out landing a big overhand right to let Harrison know what type of fight it may be. The two men left not feel out period as both landed big shots with Nelson landing cleaner to start the bout.  The action continued in the second with both men digging each other on the inside and landing hooks to the head. Both men taking shots rather well.

The middle rounds were a lull with Nelson commanding the inside landing overhand rights off his left shoulder. Harrison to his credit was landing short jabs and left hands sparingly.

Harrison though looking gassed started taking control of the bout by using his jab and landing left hand at times. Nelson was throwing less and less while looking to counter what wasn’t there. The boo birds were chirping as a crowd that was energized through the 1st three rounds.

But out of nowhere Nelson landed a massive combination topped by a big right hand that sent Harrison to the ground. Harrison tried getting up but fell once and landed on the corner as he stood up and the referee called it off giving Nelson an upset knockout victory at 2:57 of the ninth round.
