ST. LOUIS, MO - World class professional boxing returns to St. Louis on Friday, April 16th as Rumble Time Promotions, Missouri’s Premier Boxing Promoters, presents BATTLE ON THE BANKS, a sensational evening of professional boxing at the Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in St. Charles.

Headlining BATTLE ON THE BANKS will be the return of St. Louis ’ finest, “Dangerous” Dannie Williams, taking on tough Mexican veteran Manuel Leyva for the WBC Lightweight Continental Americas Title in a scheduled twelve rounder.

The 26 year old Williams, 16-1-0 (13KO’s), has won four in a row since losing a highly disputed ten round decision to Eloy Perez on September 12, 2009 in Southern California .

Most recently, the former National Golden Gloves Champion looked sensational with a shutout eight round decision of Harrison Cuello on February 19th in Youngstown , Ohio , dropping the tough Dominican three times.

A native of Ensenada , Mexico , now living in Los Angeles , Leyva, 18-2-0 (10KO’s), had won fourteen in a row before losing a very close ten round split decision to former world champion Joel Casamayor on March 11th in Las Vegas .

St. Louis fan favorite Ryan Davis will also see action at the BATTLE ON THE BANKS. The veteran junior middleweight, sporting a record of 22-8-3 (8KO’s) will face off against Brad “The Firecracker” Hill, 11-13-1 (9KO’s), of Russellville , Arkansas in a scheduled six round tilt.

Davis has faced numerous world champions and contenders over the course of his eleven year career including Zab Judah, Carlos Bojorquez, Jonathan Reid, Miguel Hernandez and David Lopez. In his last start on June 18th in St. Louis , the 32 year old won an eight round unanimous decision over cross-town rival Lamar Harris. The two had previously fought to a draw five months earlier

In a special feature attraction bout, top junior welterweight prospect Miguel “Silky Smooth” Gonzalez, 15-2-0 (13KO’s), of Cleveland , Ohio , will battle California based veteran Hector “’The Mongoose” Alatorre, 16-14-0 (5KO’s) in a scheduled six rounder.

The 25 year old Gonzalez is riding a nine bout winning streak, seven by knockout. Staying very busy, he will be fighting for the fourth time in his 2011 campaign.

Over his eight year career, Alatorre has been a staple of the highly competitive Southern California boxing scene, having gone the distance with many notable names. His only stoppage came in the 10th and final round against world title challenger Victor Ortiz in February of last year in Los Angles.

Super bantamweight newcomers will also see action as St. Louis ’ Jamal “The Mailman” Parram, 4-2-1 (4KO’s) faces off against Sergio Cristobal, 2-1-0, of Chicago , Illinois .

The big boys of boxing will be represented at the BATTLE ON THE BANKS with Todd Brown, 2-0-0 (1KO) of St. Louis, challenging De Soto, Missouri’s Wesley Banks, 0-1-1, in a scheduled four rounder.

Rounding out the card, St. Louis ’ Keandre Gibson, 1-0-1, will face Matt Schaefer, 2-3-1 (2KO’s) of Harrison , Arkansas , in a four round welterweight bout.
