Tony Thompson and David Price both moved three pounds in the opposite direction for their heavyweight rematch Saturday evening in Liverpool, England.

Thompson tipped the scales at 259 lb, while Price came in at 250 lb. The bout is a enforced rematch by Price, who suffered a shocking 2nd round knockout loss to the 41-year old American this past February.

Neither fighter looked to be in impressive condition when taking to the scales. Thompson (37-3, 25KO) will never be confused for a body builder, but didn’t look as trim as advertised. The American heavyweight sported a white T-shirt, though still unable to mask visible love handles despite weighing three pounds lighter than when he knocked out Price earlier this year in a leading Upset of the Year contender.

Thompson’s official weight for Saturday marks this third heaviest of his 13-year career.

Price matched his career high at the scales, having also weighed 250 lb. for his 6th round knockout of Matt Skelton last November. The feat ended a successful 2012 campaign that had many touting his potential as a leading prospect in a heavyweight division long desperate in search of fresh talent.

It also serves as his last official win, having not fought since a single right hand ended his unbeaten run and shook up his career.

Saturday’s bout takes place at the same location as their first fight, the Echo Arena in Prices’ hometown of Liverpool. The fight airs live on Wealth TV in the United States.
