The World Boxing Organization has called for a rematch between 108-pound titleholder Donnie Nietes and former 105-pound beltholder Moises Fuentes, according to a document dated Dec. 3 and posted on the sanctioning body’s website.

Their promoters — ALA Promotions for Nietes, Zanfer Promotions for Fuentes — have 30 days to come to a contractual agreement. Otherwise, the bout will go to a purse bid, with a minimum bid set at $80,000.

Nietes and Fuentes first fought this past March, with the bout ending as a majority draw.

Nietes, a 31-year-old from the Philippines, is 32-1-4 with 18 KOs. His only loss came in 2004, a split decision that came against Angky Angkotta in Angkotta’s home country.

He won a world title at 105 pounds in 2007, made four successful defenses, then picked up a belt at junior flyweight in 2011. Nietes has fought once since the Fuentes fight, knocking out Sammy Gutierrez in three rounds on Nov. 30.

Fuentes, 28, of Mexico City, is 19-1-1 (10 KOs). He held a belt at 105 from August 2011 to October 2012, then moved up in weight to challenge Nietes. Since that bout, he’s fought and won three times.
