Undefeated Polish contender Andrzej Wawrzyk (27-0, 13 KOs) is planning to attack WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (25-0, 17KOs) from the very first round. Wawrzyk will face him for the title later tonight at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia. There is a lot riding on the fight for Povetkin, who is set to face unified champion Wladimir Klitschko in the fall. Wawrzyk does not want the fight to reach the judges.

"I'm excellent and ready to go. Povetkin likes to box at the middle distance, and he is able to counter-attack quickly, so I have to work non-stop in the ring. I think that I have enough stamina to do that. I plan to attack from the very first round. It's a fight for the championship belt, and I will do everything in my power to win the title," Wawrzyk said.
