Natalia Klitschko, the wife of WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, praised her husband for restraining himself last Friday in Munich, when British challenger Dereck Chisora smacked him across the face at their pre-fight weigh-in. Vitali held himself together and the following night he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Chisora.

"I'm happy that Vitali, despite all of the provocations, did not succumb to them. I admire the restraint and patience of my husband. And he never ceases to fascinate me because at his age, he continues to display the highest level of boxing," Natalia said.

She does give Chisora credit by regarding him as one of the toughest challengers to step in the ring with Vitali.

"It wasn't until after the twelfth round that I had a sigh of relief. I knew that Chisora was a serious contender, one of the most powerful that my husband had fought in recent years, so I understood that it wouldn't be easy for Vitali in the ring."
