A crossroads bout between two fringe junior welterweight contenders will take place at a venue that is known for reputable club shows in Southern California.

Cleotis Pendarvis is scheduled to take on Vernon Paris in a scheduled 12 round bout at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, CA.

The bout will take place on March 21st and will headline an All Star Boxing Promotions card.

Matchmaker Pete Hironaka confirmed to Boxingscene.com late Thursday night that Pendarvis will defend his USBA title against Paris that night.

Pendarvis (17-4-2, 6 KOs), who grew up in nearby Watts, was stopped in his last fight by Dierry Jean on May 10th. It was an even fight up until Jean hurt and stopped Pendarvis in the fourth round.

The loss snapped a six-bout winning streak for Pendarvis.

Ironically, Paris also fought on May 10th, when he scored a lackluster 10 round unanimous decision over Manuel Perez.

Paris (28-1, 16 KOs), who hails from Detroit, MI, has won his last two bouts since suffering his only defeat of his pro career at the hands of Zab Judah in March of 2012.
