Defending WBO welterweight belt-holder Jessie Vargas (27-1, 10KOs) faces a daunting task on November 5th as he the takes on Filipino icon, Manny Pacquiao at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. His trainer, Dewey Cooper, insists that his man will not be overwhelmed by the moment.

The fight will be mark Pacquiao's speedy return after announcing his retirement back in April after a trilogy decision win over Timothy Bradley.

"That's all we say everyday - this moments not too big for us. That's the last thing we're worried bout because Jessie's been brought up the right way, he's was brought up the right way, he had tough fights early on and you know the saying: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So this is a perfect opportunity for Jessie," said Cooper on Thursday afternoon from the Beverly Hills Hotel where the formal announcement for this fight was made.

Cooper added - "This is the perfect time, he's physchologically strong, he went through some adversity in the (Tim) Bradley fight and he's rebuilt himself from that. He's way stronger, he's way faster, he's way more mentally sound and confident and the world we see on November 5th."

For the trainer, just going the distance versus Pacquiao is not nearly enough.

"Jessie's a world champion,, there's no world champion doing twelve rounds to get a morale victory. We want a real victory and that's what we train for,"he insisted.

Vargas captured the WBO belt on March 5th by stopping Sadam Ali in nine rounds in Washington D.C.
