Welterweight Chris Van Heerden will square off against Ray Narh in a scheduled 10 round bout on April 16th, it was advised to Boxingscene.com on Wednesday afternoon.

The bout will take place at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, CA and will be promoted by King Sports, in association with Roy Englebrecht Events.

Also on the card will be a battle of unbeaten heavyweight prospects as Alexander Flores faces Charles Martin in a scheduled 10 round bout. Both will vie for the vacant NABO heavyweight title.

As if the card was not loaded enough, middleweight contender Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam is also scheduled to appear on the card.

Van Heerden (20-1-1, 11 KOs) hails from Meyerton, South Africa and currently lives and train in the Los Angeles-area. He made his debut on American soil in his last bout on February 6th, when he stopped Cosme Rivera after the fourth round at the Florentine Gardens in Hollywood, CA.

He has won his last six bouts in a row.

Narh (26-4, 21 KOs) is originally from Ghana, but resides in Brooklyn, NY. He has lost three out of his last four bouts. In his last bout on October 11th, he lost a 10 round unanimous decision to Jessie Vargas in Las Vegas, NV.

The heavyweight fight between Flores and Martin matches two punchers that will step up in competition against each other.

In his last bout on December 5th, Flores (14-0, 12 KOs) knocked out Aaron Lyons in the 8th round. Flores, from Rowland Heights, CA, has stopped his 10 opponents in a row.

Originally from St. Louis, Mo and now residing in the Los Angeles area, Martin (15-0-1, 13 KOs) knocked out Tyyab Beale in the second round of his last bout on March 1st in Opelousas, LA.

N’Jikam (29-1, 18 KOs) has won his last two bouts in a row since losing a 12 round unanimous decision to Peter Quillin in October of 2012. N’Jikam was knocked down five times in the bout, but fought on bravely against Quillin.

Also on the card is a middleweight bout between unbeaten Englishman Mark Heffron (9-0, 7 KOs) and Louis Rose (9-1, 2 KOs) of Los Angeles.
