Premier lightweights Stephen Ormond and Terry Flanagan say there will be no love lost when they clash at the historic Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Saturday 14th February.

Irishman Ormond defends his WBO European title against Manchester’s Flanagan with the fight also sanctioned as an Eliminator for the WBO World Title on St Valentines Day.

The all-action fight will headline a top quality card promoted by Frank Warren, in association with P.J Rowson, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky 437/HD 490, Virgin Ch. 546 and TalkTalk 525).

With so much on the line, neither man is contemplating a loss and both are fired up for a victory.

“I’m the champion and I’ll be leaving the champion,” said Ormond.

“Not only will I keep hold of my WBO European title, but I’ll be the one who will get the world title shot,”

“Flanagan’s a good strong kid, he’s undefeated, he’ll come into the ring ready for the fight and he’ll be no pushover, but ultimately I’ll have too much for him in every department,”

“I’ve fought the majority of my career outside of Ireland so there’s no pressure on me fighting him in England, a boxing ring is a boxing ring wherever it is, as long as I can fight in a ring I’ll win,”

“It’s a great fight for me and the fans and I can’t wait to get it on and the only thing his lips will be kissing that day is my fists.”

Flanagan said, “This fight won’t be for the faint hearted, I am going all out to take Ormond apart,”

“He says he’ll have too much for me in every department, but I believe that I’m the bigger, stronger, better and more skilful fighter and it will show on the night,”

“There will be pressure on me even though it’s not in my home city of Manchester, he’s coming over from Ireland so I’m going to make sure I’m the winner on home soil,”

“I’m undefeated and I’ll never shy away from a challenge, I love the challenge and someone like Ormond who comes in saying he’s going to beat me makes me train and fight harder,”

“There’ll be no love hearts in my eyes when I’m facing him, just targets set on his chin.”

The card will also feature undefeated Birmingham middleweight Tommy Langford; outstanding Chelmsley Wood lightweight Joe Costello; Corby cruiserweight prospect Simon Barclay; rising Swansea bantamweight Jay Harris; the return of Redditch’s hard-hitting middleweight Andrew Robinson; unbeaten Tipton light-heavyweight Ricky Summers and Bloxwich middleweight prospect Dan Breeze.

Josh Warrington will face Dennis Tubieron in an official eliminator for the WBC World Featherweight title at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on April 11, live on Sky Sports.

Warrington is aiming to continue his meteoric rise over the last year inside his intimidating fortress and pick up the vacant WBC International crown in the process, but faces a tough task in the shape of ‘The Scorpion’ from the Philippines, who boxed for that title in December with his clash against Carlo Magali ending in a controversial draw.

The Leeds star has seen off Samir Mouniemne, Rendall Munroe, Martin Lindsay and Davide Dieli in a dazzling run of displays, and with a raucous hometown army behind him, the 24 year old will be aiming to crash into the rankings in style on April 11, with a trip to Berlin on the undercard of Paul Smith’s World title rematch against Arthur Abraham to come first for Warrington on February 21.

Welsh star Nathan Cleverly will return to action in the Light Heavyweight division as he targets German WBA champ Jurgen Braehmer while Martin J Ward will rematch Maxi Hughes in a British title eliminator following their exciting draw in London at the end of 2014. Leeds man and British Light Heavyweight  champ Bob Ajisafe features as part of a big line up to be announced over the coming weeks.

Tommy Martin says he’ll prove right the adage ‘if you are good enough, you are old enough’ when he challenges Ricky Boylan for the vacant English Light Welterweight title at The O2 on January 31, live on Sky Sports.

The 20 year old says he has been told on Twitter that he is too young to be facing the 26 year old Boylan for the title, two months before he turns 21.

Martin and Boylan both fought at the Greenwich venue in their last outings in October with Martin stopping Matty Tew in the seventh round of their battle before Boylan dropped a majority decision against Tyler Goodjohn for the English strap, and the Cambridgeshire youngster says that he is happy to be the underdog as momentum is in his favour.

“People have been saying that I am too young to fight for the English title - they are forgetting that I was in an eliminator and stopped Matty Tew inside 10,” said Martin. “Why would I not take this opportunity? To be English champion at 20 years old would be great. It's a fight Johnny Eames had no hesitation in taking and every day I was going into the gym and asking Johnny to get me this fight or that fight and he was saying no, but the second that Eddie Hearn text him about the fight, he took it in a heartbeat and that says everything about how confident we are for this fight.

“It's a step up, but that's what I am here to do. I believe Ricky is made for me and that I will show I can handle this level. I thought that Ricky would beat Tyler and he’d defend against me, but the fight is on now for the vacant belt anyway and it's the one that I wanted. I am not stupid, I know that Ricky and his team are looking at this fight as a comeback win for him, but it's not going to happen - people can keep going against me, that's fine, I'll just make my friends and family some nice dough when I beat him. It's going to be a cracker, I have no problem with him, its business and we're in each other’s way – something has to give.”

Martin’s clash with Boylan is part of a huge night of title fights in London as Olympic hero Anthony Joshua MBE defends his WBC International Heavyweight title against Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson.

Kevin Mitchell faces Daniel Estrada for the vacant WBC Silver Lightweight title and an eliminator for the World title, John Ryder defends his WBO Inter-Continental Middleweight title against experienced Australian Les Sherrington and there are two cracking domestic derbies as Tommy Martin meets Ricky Boylan for the vacant English Light Welterweight title and John Wayne Hibbert defends his WBC International Light Welterweight title against Tyler Goodjohn.

Team GB star Charlie Edwards makes his hotly anticipated pro debut on the bill, as does Cruiserweight Isaac Chamberlain, as Ohara Davies, Ben Hall and Lee Markham make their first appearances in 2015.

Only £40 tickets are available for the show at www.theO2.co.uk and on 0844 856 0202.
