Tony Bellew’s British light heavyweight title defence against Danny McIntosh at the Echo Arena in Liverpool has been postponed until Friday April 27 after McIntosh withdrew with a chest infection.

The pair were due to clash for the belt on April 13 in Merseyside but McIntosh and injured undercard stars John Watson (rib) and Scotty Cardle (knee) will now have a further fortnight to prepare for the rescheduled date.

“Illness and injury cannot be helped and it’s unfortunate as both Tony and Danny have been training hard for the fight,” said show promoter Dave Coldwell. “I’m sure Danny will be ready and in great shape on April 27, and it promises to be a great evening with a cracking card lined up.”

Tickets purchased for the show remain valid for the rescheduled date.

FIGHTING IRISH WILL GIVE FANS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

London - Promoter Mick Hennessy says his ‘Unfinished Business’ show at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on April 14 will be one of the best night’s of Irish sport this year.

Hennessy has put together a supporting bill to the All Ireland heavyweight championship battle between undefeated Tyson Fury and former Commonwealth champion Martin Rogan featuring a series of all-Irish derby clashes.

A sell-out crowd is expected at the Odyssey Arena and apart from Fury-Rogan the Irish fans are eagerly looking forward to the cruiserweight battle between former Commonwealth cruiserweight champion Darren Corbett of Belfast and Michael Sweeney of Mayo.

Also on the card is unbeaten Belfast light-middleweight prospect Joe Hillerby against Ballyclare’s Willie Thompson and former amateur star Conall Carmichael of Belfast makes his debut against Uganda’s Moses Matovu, who is based in the city.

“This is going to be one of the most entertaining shows that I have ever promoted. It’s a great night for boxing fans and the fans can be sure they are in for a real treat“commented promoter Mick Hennessy.

“Tyson Fury against Martin Rogan and the all-Irish fights on the undercard will be a special night of boxing and it will all cap a great week of Irish sport with the Circuit of Ireland this weekend and then the Irish Grand National on Monday.

“It’s a big night for Tyson and Rogan, it’s the biggest heavyweight attraction in Ireland since Muhammad Ali came to Croke Park in the Seventies and then you have Darren Corbett looking to get his career back on track against Michael Sweeney. Corbett has been sparring with Tyson so he’s going to be in very good shape that could be one of the fights of the night.

“I’m also looking forward to see how Conall Carmichael goes on his debut and young Marc McCullough has a good test against Paul Griffin, the former Irish amateur star.”

“And of course we have brilliant young talents in the shape of Chris Eubank Jr and John O’Donnell on a stacked card” added Mick Hennessy

Joining Tyson Fury, Martin Rogan will be middleweight sensation Chris Eubank Jr from Brighton, Former Commonwealth Champion Irishman John O'Donnell, Belfast fighters Dee Walsh, Darren Corbett, Tommy Tolan, Ciaran Healy, Marc Mccullough, Conall Carmichael, Moses Matovu and County Mayo’s Michael Sweeney.

Paul Allison looking to cause upset on April 14 at the Odyssey Arena.

Chris Eubank Jr vs. Paul Allison Confirmed.

London -  Scotland’s Paul Allison is looking to cause an upset on April 14 by beating middleweight sensation Chris Eubank Jr on the undercard of the Titanic battle between Tyson Fury and Martin Rogan at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast.

Fury vs. Rogan and Eubank Jr vs. Allison proudly presented by Hennessy Sports, will be broadcast live on Channel 5

Manager Paul Graham said “I’ve watched Chris Eubanks Jr’s last fight against Jason Ball and he got away with murder, he was using his forearms, shoulder and elbows a lot and the ref never seemed to pick up on it.

“I really hope the ref doesn’t get intimidated by the name or the crowd on April 14 and especially as Chris is the home fighter, but we are definitely up for this and we are coming to cause an upset and win, if we weren’t confident we wouldn’t have taken the fight.

“Pauls in tremendous shape, training and sparring couldn’t have gone better and he is ready to become the first fighter to beat Eubank Jr in the pro ranks.” Added Paul Graham.

Joining Tyson Fury, Martin Rogan will be Former Commonwealth Champion Irishman John O'Donnell, Belfast fighters Dee Walsh, Darren Corbett, Tommy Tolan, Ciaran Healy, Marc Mccullough, Conall Carmichael, Moses Matovu and County Mayo’s Michael Sweeney.

London - The “Pride of Yorkshire” showdown between Sheffield’s WBC International Super Bantamweight Champion Kid Galahad and Barnsley’s Josh Wale will take place at the Hillsborough Leisure centre on Saturday May 12th.

Galahad vs. Wale, proudly presented by Hennessy Sports in association with Alma Ingle, will be broadcast live on Channel 5.

Kid Galahad who is also known as Barry Awad beat former 2 times British champion Jason Booth live on Channel 5 to claim the WBC International title back in February and is not underestimating Josh Wale. “Josh is a tough kid and where he comes from it’s like the Wild West on a Saturday night that’s why he's called the Outlaw, they fight for fun.

“He beat my former stable mate’s, former European, British and Commonwealth champion Esham Pickering and Mo Khalid, so it's revenge time”.

The former English champion Josh Wale said “There’s a lot of buzz about this kid, but I’m going to burst the bubble big time next month live on Channel 5 when I do a number on him.

“This is a massive fight for me and it’s a massive fight for him because he’s never been in with anyone like me.

“I’ll give him hell from the start and he best get ready for a war.”

“People struggle with the Ingle style but not me I’ve already beaten two kids from the gym and come May 12 Galahad will become the third” added Wale

Also in action will be Sheffield’s former WBC champion Junior Witter who will be challenging champion Colin Lynes from Hornchurch, who sensationally beat Lee Purdy back in November to claim the British Welterweight Title.

When the two last fought back in 2005, Witter beat Lynes on points defending the European, British and Commonwealth Light Welterweight titles.

Junior Witter said “I have a lot of respect for Colin, he’s shown great character to comeback and turned his career around and I believe he’s better than before.

“I know people expect me to beat him but it is going to be harder than our first fight, but I’m looking forward to claiming the British title for a second time.”

Tickets for the Pride of Yorkshire between Kid Galahad and Josh Wale at the Hillsborough Leisure Centre on May 12 priced at £75 and £35 will be on sale from next week.
