World rated heavyweight contenders Dominic Breazeale (17-1) and Izuagbe "Izu" Ugonoh (17-0) will collide on February 25th in Birmingham, Alabama.

The bout will be aired on FOX in support of the Deontay Wilder-Gerald Washington main event.

The fight will be the biggest of Ugonoh's career. He has and WBO heavyweight champion Jospeh Parker share the same trainer Kevin Barry and Izu has fought on many of the champion's under cards in New Zealand in recent years.

Barry believes that a win over Breazeale, a former title challenger, will put Ugonoh in prime position to face a Wilder who holds the WBC title.

"I think that the winner of this fight will definitely put themself in the position to fight Deontay Wilder. Izu is training very hard and the sparring has been tremendous. I brought in three very good sparring partners and we sparred a lot of rounds. On February 25th he will be ready to show the very best Izu Ugonoh there is," Barry told BoxingScene.com.

The 30-year-old Ugonoh was born in Szczecin, Poland, to Nigerian parents, has a 17-0 record with 14 knockouts and is a former Polish kickboxing champion who took up boxing in 2010.

Ugonoh has a master's degree from Jedrzej Sniadecki School of Physical Education and Sports in Gdansk, Poland. Focusing on becoming an elite, all-around fighter, he trained in kickboxing, boxing and martial arts.
