Former WBA flyweight champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez closed his intense preparation for his bout against Colombian Carlos Tamara, taking place on June 1 at the majestic Estadio Sonora. Marquez (34-3, 27 KOs) will have a great opportunity to accomplish his goal of getting another title shot if he defeats the dangerous Tamara (23-7-1, 17 KOs). Marquez wants to redeem his career after suffering a painful defeat in November 2012 to Brian Viloria.

"We have left behind the bad night with Viloria, and had a return that gave us more confidence. Right now my mind is only on defeating Tamara. We are prepared for another war, but I will win. My goal is to become champion again and this is an opportunity to ensure that I have the right to go after that title," Marquez said.
