London - HEAVYWEIGHT sensation Tyson Fury says Christmas will come early for his fans on December 1 when he clashes with American Kevin Johnson at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast.

Unbeaten Fury plans to give the performance of his career so far against former World heavyweight title challenger Johnson in their 12-rounder on the Hennessy Sports show which is live on Channel 5 next Saturday night.

With the Festive period fast approaching WBO inter-continental champion Fury is in the mood to give his supporters the perfect Christmas party in Belfast and believes Johnson will bring out the best in him.

“Everybody is starting to get ready for their Christmas parties and in Belfast at the Odyssey Arena my fans are going to have the ultimate party – they’ll see a great fight and then go out and party knowing they’ve just seen the future heavyweight champion of the World,” commented a fired up Fury.

"This is a huge fight for me, it’s going to be a fight to the finish. I think Johnson and I are going to take each other to the limits because we’re both world class.

“The better the fighter the better I fight and Johnson is my hardest test yet so I have to raise my game and I will. There’s going to be no quarter asked, we’re both going to be landing big bombs.

“And when I come out of that ring the winner it’ll be my ideal Christmas present because I’ll only be one fight away from a shot at the World heavyweight title.

“Johnson is the man standing in my way, he’s the one standing in the way of me and my family having a great Christmas so he has to fall. I will do whatever it takes to keep my world title dream alive.

“People don’t realise just how hungry I am, how much I want this.”

Promoter Mick Hennessy has expertly guided Fury to the position of the number four heavyweight in the World and he expects his fighter to give a performance to remember.

The Hennessy Sports boss said: “We’re taking a gamble with this fight, a lot of world class fighters have avoided Johnson and a lot of world rated fighters have avoided Tyson, they turned the chance to fight Tyson in Belfast but Johnson has stepped up to the plate and I believe he’ll bring out the best in Tyson.”
