Turki Alalshikh received an honorary induction into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame (NBHOF) during his Riyadh Season U.S. debut show on Saturday night (August 3).

The event that saw Terence Crawford dethrone Israil Madrimov took place at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, and marked the start of Alalshikh’s plans of bringing huge fight nights to the U.S.

Alalshikh has received high praise from plenty in the boxing industry after pumping money into the sport to bring huge fight nights to Saudi Arabia. Alalshikh’s plans to expand are well underway, with Anthony Joshua challenging IBF heavyweight belt-holder Daniel Dubois at a Riyadh Season event at Wembley Stadium in September.

NBHOF founder Rich Marotta presented Alalshikh with his trophy in the presence of Roberto Duran and Oscar De La Hoya. “Thank you so much,” said Alalshikh as he received the award. “All the fans of boxing are in my heart, thank you so much.”

Alalshikh also received an honorary green belt from the WBC during the event for his services to boxing.
