Undefeated super welterweight Cristian Cangelosi (8-0, 4 KOs), hailing from Palermo, Sicilia, Italy by way of Brooklyn, NY, is primed to make his return to the ring this Friday (June 28), at the Royale Nightclub in Boston, Massachusetts.

Cangelosi meets Brazilian Aelio Mesquita (21-14-1, 19 KOs), from Guaruja, Sao Paulo, in a six-round super welterweight bout.

“I’m excited to be fighting in Boston for the second time,” said Cangelosi. “The energy and support from the fans here is incredible, and I can’t wait to put on a great show. A win this Friday will help me land bigger fights and bring me closer to my goal of becoming a world champion.”

“Cristian is a special talent with the heart of a champion,” said co-manager Gilmore Jr.. “His commitment and work ethic are the reason we signed him, and we believe he has what it takes to go all the way in this sport. Boston is in for a treat this Friday.”

“This is a great opportunity to continue my unbeaten streak and further establish myself as someone to look out for in the super welterweight division,” added the super welterweight prospect, who trains under Ismael Salas. “I have a great team behind me, and I believe in myself to become great in this sport. This Friday will be another step in the right direction.”
