Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Terence Crawford (20-0, 15KOs), who accepted the fight on less than two week's notice and moved up to junior welterweight, won a ten round unanimous decision over Breidis Prescott (26-5, 20KOs). The scores were 99-91, 97-93 and 100-90.

In the early action, Prescott was walking the much smaller Crawford down with ease. Crawford found success when he switched to the southpaw stance. Neither fighter was doing much to impress the live audience, with Crawford moving away and Prescott coming forward but not letting his hands go.

A clash of heads opened up a cut above Prescott's left eye. Crawford started letting his hands go in the sixth and timing Prescott well. During the seventh, Prescott started to show some desperation but he was getting tagged for his trouble. Crawford was in full control in the final three rounds, easily timing Prescott with punches and avoiding everything in return.
