Felix Sturm battled to a draw with St. Helens’ Martin Murray in Mannheim, Germany two weeks ago.  It was Sturm’s second contentious result in a row following his June 25 split decision over Matthew Macklin and has left the WBA middleweight titlist vowing to exact revenge should the two meet again.

“I think he (Murray) knows he lost this fight and was a little bit shocked that he got the draw,” said Sturm, 36-2-2 (15), when speaking to Sky Sport’s Ringside show.  “I won the fight.  I have a lot of respect for him.  He’s a good guy, a very fair fighter and next time I’ll knock him out – we won’t need points.”

Murray, though, has been linked with Ireland’s Andy Lee; Boxingscene’s head honcho Rick Reeno recently revealed that Lou DiBella is hoping to match the two middleweight contenders on March 17th at New York’s Madison Square Garden.  Martin, 23-0-1 (10), now has a decision to make should Sturm make good on his promise to grant the 29-year-old boxer a return.
