On Saturday evening a clash between the power punching duo of Adonis Stevenson (21-1) and Tavoris Cloud (24-1) will take place in Montreal, Quebec. The fight will be televised by HBO as part of a split-site doubleheader.  Julio Cesar Chavez Jr will face Bryan Vera in Carson, California in the other televised fight.

Stevenson captured the WBC light heavyweight title in dramatic fashion this past June when he stopped former champion Chad Dawson in the first round with a highlight reel one punch knockout.

The Haitian said that this was one of his best training camps.

"I had a good training camp.  I cannot wait, I am ready for this fight.  My camp was tremendous," said Stevenson.

The 36-year-old Stevenson feels that Cloud's power is overrated.  Cloud has only had 1 stoppage in his past 6 fights and Stevenson predicts that Cloud won't make it to the final bell on Saturday night.

"He is a puncher but he has only had one knockout since 2008. Campillo and Bernard Hopkins beat him.  They both really beat him.  Now he is trying to come back strong with me but on Saturday I will win by knockout.  I am looking for a knockout," Stevenson stated.

The biggest fight of Cloud's career was this past March when he lost an unanimous decision to Bernard Hopkins.  Stevenson feels that Cloud will fare even worse against a power puncher and said that if he tries to apply pressure that he will be in for a rude awakening.

"The biggest fight he has had was Bernard Hopkins and he lost.  Bernard schooled Cloud.  That is the test he took and he didn't pass the test.  Now he wants to fight me and he hasn't really ever fought a power puncher.  This is the first time he really is fighting a power puncher.  He is coming to Montreal and he is confident but I will tell you this, if he comes at me and tries to pressure me, he will get knocked out and fast," Stevenson told BoxingScene.com.
