Tom Stalker will make his long awaited ring return in the summer.

The Liverpool lightweight, 31, has not fought since December, 2015, but a date has been set for his next appearance in the squared circle.

Stalker (10-1-3, 2 KOs), who has three draws in his past three outings, with two of them coming against Welshman Craig Evans, will make his comeback on June 4 in his hometown.

He will feature as part of the undercard to Liam Smith’s first defence of the WBO super welterweight world title against an opponent to be named at the ECHO Arena, exclusively live on BoxNation.

The show also features a pair of European title showdowns, with Ryan Farrag defending his bantamweight bauble against Karim Guerfi and Jazza Dickens and Abigail Medina contesting the vacant crown at 122lbs, as well as Paul Butler in a WBO super flyweight title final eliminator in which he’ll defend the WBO International belt and Zolani Tete defending his IBF International bantamweight title.

Meanwhile, Joe Costello (5-0, 3 KOs) will box for the second time in three weeks after he makes his return from a car accident on May 13 at the Premier Suite at Bolton’s Macron Stadium.

And Kalam Leather, the brother of undefeated super lightweight Josh Leather (9-0, 3 KOs), will make his professional debut after signing a contract with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions.
