Former junior flyweight champion Ulises "Archie" Solis continues to demand justice over an alleged assault by WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. The incident, which took place in October 2011 in Guadalajara, resulted in Solis suffering a double fracture of the jaw that prevented him from fighting over 15 months. Solis has lashed out at the authorities of Jalisco for stalling his case and the fact that more than a year after the incident there are still no answers.

There are conflicting stories on how the incident took place, but Solis stated that Canelo allegedly confronted him over an ex-girlfriend. The extended layoff cost Solis his IBF championship.

"I just want to call on Mexico and all of the people who read this, in Jalisco, and the government, to give me justice. Attorney Thomas Coronado Olmos, I'd like you to investigate in this case, because I have never been given justice," said Solis.

"[Canelo] continues to deny the claims, discrediting them and says the aggressor was his brother. We gave a statement from the brother to the prosecutor and witnesses said it was not him. Saul's redhead is all over TV, everyone knows him. It's not fair that a world champion of Mexico lost his world title outside the ring, because of a cowardly attack. I think in Mexico we are hungry for justice."
