In a rematch of their December 2012 draw, welterweight contender Shawn Porter (22-0-1, 14KOs) set the record straight with a ten round unanimous decision over former champion Julio Diaz (40-9-1, 29KOs). The score were 98-92, 97-93, 97-93.

Porter went to get Diaz's respect early by coming forward with multiple combinations. Diaz picked up his workrate in the second and was throwing combinations in close when Porter would let his hands go. They were slugging away in the third, with both landing good shots to the head. At the start of the fourth, Porter came out throwing bombs on the inside. Diaz took them well and started to return fire. Porter was starting to hurt Diaz at the end of the fourth and rocked him early in the fifth.

Porter outworked Diaz in the sixth. Diaz came back with several good shots during a late rally to edge the seventh. The eight was close, but Porter took the ninth - despite a few head clashes - by a small margin. The tenth was close, but Porter landed the cleaner punches.
