BoxingScene.com was recently granted access to Shawn Porter's Las Vegas training camp for his March 13th fight against Roberto Garcia.  The fight takes place in Ontario, Calif. and will be the debut of Spike TV's foray into boxing. Andre Berto will face Josesito Lopez in the other co-main event.

The former IBF welterweight champion said that he respects Garcia and is training very hard for their upcoming fight.  With that being said, he feels that he is on a different level than his opponent and is looking to prove that when they step in the ring.

"(We) most definitely (feel we are the superior fighter)," said Porter in answering my question.  "We go into every fight like that.  That is part of our game plan.  We go in and want to show that we are the dominant fighter.  We are faster and stronger. Along with everything else - winning is the most important thing - but we want to show this guy that he is fighting a guy who just had the IBF title and this isn't going to be any walk in the park."

Speaking of titles, Porter said that he would love to get a chance to get back the IBF title that he lost to Kell Brook in August.  He also said that he is very interested in the WBC title that Floyd Mayweather Jr. currently holds.

"It is very important to get a title back.  Especially after going to the WBC convention and meeting the president and the head of their operations.  I got a chance to see how prestigious that belt is.  I would love a shot at that title and have that green belt around me. That and getting the IBF title is important to me," Porter told BoxingScene.com.
