HP Pavilion, San Jose, California - Shawn Porter (20-0, 14KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Alfonso Gomez  (23-6-2, 12KOs) in an action-packed welterweight fight. In the ninth round, a cut opened up above the left eye of Porter from a clash of heads. Gomez's face was a swollen mess by the end of the fight. The scores were 96-94, 97-93 and 98-92.

Junior middleweight contender Hugo Centeno (15-0, 8KOs) boxed his way to an eight round unanimous decision over Aydi Bruce (14-8, 8KOs). The scores were 79-73 and 80-72 twice.

British/Commonwealth super middleweight champion George Groves (15-0, 12KOs) stopped Francscio Sierra (24-6-1, 22KOs) in the sixth round of a slugging match.

Sierra was game and taking the fight to Groves, who was countering well. In the third, a big cut opened up above the right eye of Groves and it appeared to come by way of a clash of heads. In the final thirty seconds, they were trading some very big punches. Groves was getting the better of the action. The cut held up well in the next three rounds as they were trading punches. Groves was making the fight very hard for himself by slugging and not boxing.

In the sixth round, a huge counter hook sent Sierra down on his back. Sierra beat the count, but Groves quickly unloaded with hard combinations that forced Sierra's corner to throw in the towel.

Super middleweight Paul Mendez (8-2, 2KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Leshon Simms (5-11, 3KOs). All three judges scored it 59-55.

Heavyweight Gerald Washington (1-0, 1KO) made his pro debut with a first round stoppage of overwhelmed Blue Delong (0-4). Delong went down numerous times, but the referee only ruled one of those falls as an actual knockdown. The referee had seen enough after the final knockdown and waved off the mismatch. Washington is managed by Al Haymon.
