Forum, Inglewood, California - In battle of veteran former champions, Sugar Shane Mosley (48-10-1, 39KOs) used hard shots to the body to score a knockout win over Ricardo Mayorga (31-9-1, 25KOs) in the sixth round. The fight had a catch-weight of 166-pounds in place.

Mayorga looked slow, out of shape and had very little power on his punches. Mosley broke him down and put him away.

When they first met in 2008, at junior middleweight, it was close fight with Mosley closing it out with a knockout in the closing seconds of the twelfth round.

IBF super bantamweight champion Yulihan Alejandra Luna Avila (12-2-1) and Maureen Shea (24-2) fought to a ten round split draw. The scores were 97-93 (Luna), 98-92 (Shea), 95-95. Most felt Avila had done enough to win.

Lightweight prospect Joel Diaz Jr. (20-0, 16KOs) beat up and bloodied Luis Arceo (28-14-4) for a fourth round stoppage win. Arceo went down in the fourth and appeared to be in bad shape. The fight was waved off by the referee.

Cruiserweight prospect Dimar Ortuz, (10-0-2, 7 KOs) barely survived a potential upset defeat with a controversial eight round split draw over lightly regarded Victor Barragan, (12-8-1, 3 KOs). The crowd was stunned when Ortuz hit the deck in the second round and a second time during the eight. Barragan was busier and closed very strong. The scores were  76-74 Ortuz, 76-74 Barragan, 75-75 for the draw.
