Argentina's Sergio Martinez (48-2-2, 27KOs) predicts a victory by knockout, planning to make it happen somewhere between the eight and tenth of Saturday's twelve round showdown with Irish middleweight Matthew Macklin (28-3, 19KOs) at New York's Madison Square Garden.

"I'm ready to win by knockout between the eighth and the tenth round. With my team of Pablo Sarmiento and Marcelo Crudele, we are not going to leave anything to chance [by going to a decision], a strategy that we usually follow," Martinez said.

Meanwhile, Macklin believes that his youth will present an advantage.

"I am 29-years-old and Martinez is eight years older than me. That may be an advantage. He is very fast and takes a good shot. I have two hands just like him, so the chance for success is the same for both of us. I am a fighter who gives his all and I'm willing to die in the ring if necessary. But I will never surrender," Macklin said.
