Ukraine - WBO #4 lightwelterweight Sergey Fedchenko (33-2, 14 KOs) retained his WBO European title in a rough fight versus Spanish veteran Karim El Ouazghari (15-3-2, 4 KOs). Scores were: 119-107 (twice) and 118-110 - for the 31-year old Ukrainian, who got some international fame after his spirited effort in the Juan Manuel Marquez fight in 2012.

Fedchenko controlled with a busy jab, preventing the Spaniard to get dangerous (specifically with his head on his way in). El Ouazghari did his best to land a huge right hand but Fedchenko let him do this only in the fifth. He came back strong in the next stanza as he landed a very strong left jab to send Karim down for a knockdown. Fedchenko pressed forward for something bigger but failed to get a stoppage. The fight turned into a foulfest later on, and El Ouazghari was definitely an instigator provoking the Ukrainian time and again. Fedchenko responded as both boxers used a number of dirty tricks to support their game. Fedchenko was finally deducted a point after pushing the Spaniard down in the twelfth and final round, which didn't cost him a win.

IBF #7 and WBA #11 ranked heavyweight Alexander Ustinov (28-1, 21 KOs) looked pretty ordinary in his first fight after a hard loss to Kubrat Pulev for the EBU championship. The hulking Russian/Belarussian boxer, who fights out of Kiev, Ukraine, was lured into a bad boxing match with the Croatian veteran Ivica Perkovic. He won every round with his harder jab and nice left hooks to the body but failed to impress at all. All three judges had it 80-72 - for Ustinov. Meanwhile, Perkovic falls down to the negative zone and his record is now 19-20, with 14 KOs.

Vitaliy Nevesioliy (13-1, 7 KOs) was lucky his cruiserweight fight versus Georgian George Tevdorashvili (13-7-3, 8 KOs) ended as a no-contest after he was badly cut over his forehead following an accidental headbutt in round three. The Georgian fighter looked a better of the two prior to that moment.

Quickly improving upset artist Igor Fanian (14-4-2, 7 KOs) got yet another positive surprise in his favour, when he outpointed previously undefeated welterweight prospect Dmytro Semernin (9-1-1, 3 KOs) over eight heated rounds. Fanian was definitely a better boxer and a smoother of the two to get a well-deserved unanimous decision with scores 78-75 (x2) and 79-74. Fanian has previously scored a majority decision over 28-1 Victor Plotnikov in his latest fight. The 23-year old journeyman-turned-contender also avenged his 2010 loss to Semernin, which was his first in the pro career.

Comebacking light middleweight Dmytro Nikulin (27-1, 8 KOs) got a technical decision over the game Georgian Ambrosi Sutidze (7-4-4, 4 KOs), when the latter was badly cut in an accidental headbutt. Scores were 50-45 (twice) and 50-46 - for the Ukrainian fighter.

Super bantamweight Mamed Yadgarov (18-6-1, 10 KOs) was content to get a workmanlike unanimous decision over the faded veteran Yuri Voronin (27-20-2, 19 KOs) who lost his eleventh in a row. All scores were 80-72 - for Yadgarov.

------------------

Lightweight Valentyn Golovko moved up to 18-0, with 12 KOs, by overwhelming another Georgian fighter Mikhail Avakian (18-9-2, 7 KOs) over eight. Avakian was down in the eighth stanza. Scores were identical across the boards: 80-71.

------------------

Rising Chechen light heavyweight Umar Salamov (5-0, 4 KOs) got his job done against the Georgian import Davit Ribakoni (1-3-4) with a huge uppercut ten seconds before the final bell of the scheduled six-rounder.

------------------

A bout between two inexperienced light welterweights Dmytro Fedos (2-0-1) and Oleg Korobko (2-1-1) ended in a four-round draw. Scores were 38-38, 37-39 and 39-37.

------------------

Lightweight Agaly Alyshev (18-5-2, 13 KOs) got a unanimous decision over the Georgian opponent Ruben Movsesian (8-9-1, 7 KOs) in a scheduled six-rounder. No scores were announced.
