On eve of their deadline, BoxingScene.com/Netboxe.com was advised an agreement was reached between both sides to stage the Selcuk Aydin vs. JoJo Dan rematch in Turkey. The fight is a WBC welterweight eliminator. A date and venue will be announced soon.

The fight meeting took place in Turkey on June 5, 2010, and Turkish star Aydin (22-0, 17 KOs) won a controversial split decision over Dan (29-1, 16 KOs) to capture the WBC's Silver title. After more than a year's time, the WBC finally ordered a rematch and gave both sides until September 2 to reach an agreement in order to avoid a purse bid.

"There will be no purse bid. We have reached an agreement in principle. We are now working on the contract details and we hope to finalize everything from one day to another," confirmed the manager of JoJo Dan, Christian Ganescu from the firm Gankor Promotions.

"Dan will return to in Turkey this coming fall for a rematch of their WBC Silver title fight, and [the winner earns] the right to become the mandatory challenger to the winner of the upcoming fight between [Floyd] Mayweather and [full WBC champion Victor] Ortiz. JoJo is the new Road Warrior!"
