Former IBF middleweight champ Sebastian Sylvester might take a different route on his way back to the top. Sylvester was selected for a planned IBF tournament where Sebastian was going to be matched against Sam Soliman. Sylvester is now the official challenger for EBU ruler Darren Barker, who of course is in line to take on superstar Sergio Martinez on October 1 and thus might relinquish the title. Sebastian would then get a fight against the highest available challenger for the vacant title.
