International Boxing Federation (IBF) Championship Committee Chairman Lindsey Tucker has informed BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard that the title fight between former WBC light flyweight champion Rodel Mayol and defending super flyweight champion Juan Carlos Sanchez in Sinaloa, Mexico scheduled for September 22 (23 in Manila) is on.

Tucker told us - “I got the signed contracts about 2 PM New Jersey time today (Friday). The fight is a go.”

There was concern earlier after Tucker said - "we have not officially approved this fight because we still don't have the contracts. However, the Promoter, Zanfer Promotions has started the travel arrangements for the officials so I think they will provide the signed contracts."

Tucker made it clear that "If for some reason we don't get the signed contracts, there can be no fight for the IBF Title."

However, MP Promotions and Manny Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz assured us that the fight would go on and was confident Zanfer Promotions Fernando Beltran would submit the contracts in time.
