As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Alejandro Sanabria will fight on February 19 in Rosarito or Tijuana, against Rocky Juarez in a ten round super featherweight contest. The fight will be the main event of a card being presented by Box Latino and Golden Boy Promotions.

"I've been training around four weeks for the fight. I train two hours a day in the gym and run about 55 minutes in Desierto de los Leones. I started to spar and do it with Carlos "Cucu" Hernandez and Jonathan "Baby" Duran," said Sanabria, who is trained by his father, who has the same name, and aided by Emiliano Fonseca.

He knows very well that fighting Rocky Juarez (28-7-1, 20 KO´s) will be a difficult test.

"He's a strong opponent and I'm working hard. He has never been knocked out and I have to do a great job in the ring, fight him at a distance and counter-punch. I have to move a lot and use a lot of speed because he is very tough. "

But in turn, Sanabria (26-1-1, 21 KO's), who captured the Fecarbox NABF and WBC titles, said he is motivated to face an opponent who is experienced and has fought for world titles.

"He faced the likes of Juan Manuel Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera, Chris John, Soto, Jorge Linares, and fought for world championships. If we beat him, it demonstrates that we are ready to fight for the world title. I have to win decisively. It's the biggest fight of my career," he said. "Juarez is a good indicator for me. Juarez is hard, strong, has a lot of resistance, and has fought against great rivals. This is a great opportunity and I have to take advantage of it and train hard to be at my best on the day of the fight."
