Orlando Salido and Juan Manuel Lopez put on an exciting fight this past Saturday night that most fans are still buzzing about. What they are also still talking about are Lopez's comments after the fight where he accused referee Robert Ramirez of being a gambler and not doing a good job officiating the bout. The WBO has since suspended Lopez for one year and have given him 5 days to state his case to have the suspension lifted.

Orlando Salido talked to BoxingScene's official audio show, The Boxing Lab, and was asked about his thoughts on Lopez's comments after their fight.

"I heard his comments when I watched the fight on television and his comments appeared to be stupid in my opinion in saying the referee was a gambler. He was in the wrong with all that" expressed Salido. "The referee did a good job. He stopped the fight when it needed to be stopped. If he would've let it continue I could've hurt [Lopez] pretty bad".

If Lopez's comments weren't surprise enough for Salido, realizing the 2 of the 3 judges had Lopez ahead on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage definitely did. Many wondered if Salido would be able to get a fair shake by fighting Lopez in his hometown again and luckily for Salido, he didn't leave the outcome of the fight in the judges hands.

"Yes, I was very surprised at their scores. I thought 'what fight were they watching!?'. The whole world saw I was winning so I don't know how they had those scores" said the Mexican warrior.

While we'd probably all love to see Salido and Lopez fight a dozen more times since both their fights have been memorable, we wonder who "Siri" will take on next. That decision is yet to be made but one thing we do know is Salido will stay put at Featherweight and looks to continue fighting for years to come.

"I make weight without any trouble or killing myself. I want to make some more defenses of my title and then we'll think about moving to 130 pounds" revealed Salido. "I feel good. It's the best stage of my career. I don't feel hurt or that I'm finished. I think I still have several years left to keep fighting".
