Lodz, Poland - On Saturday night, former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (50-4, 30KOs) returned for the first time since last year's decision loss to Artur Szpilka, and gained a fifth round TKO win when countryman Przemyslaw Saleta (44-8, 22KOs) quit on his stool and refused to come out.

Adamek controlled the bulk of the fight, being aggressive early, outboxing the older fighter and maneuvering him around quite easily. Saleta had not fought since a February 2013 knockout win over Andrew Golota - and going into that fight he was coming off a seven year layoff.

Saleta says he injured his shoulder early in the contest and then couldn't perform as the pain increased as the fight played out.

"It was a shoulder injury. I couldn't move my left hand. Actually, from the second round on I was only boxing with my right hand. I was hoping that I would somehow manage to hit Tomasz. But the pain increased and I had difficulty in raising my left hand," Saleta said.
