British junior middleweight contender Ryan Rhodes (46-6, 31KOs) plans to meet with his promoter, Ricky Hatton, to discuss his next career move.

The 35-year-old veteran will continue to fight, regardless that several of his friends have asked him to way away from the ring or at the very least have a farewell fight. Rhodes was recently stopped by unbeaten Sergey Rabchenko in Euro title fight.

“After the Rabchenko fight, Ricky said it had been a 50-50 fight until the body shot that would have got to anybody. Richard Poxon (matchmaker) was even talking about a rematch. I am not going to race into a rash decision," Rhodes told the Sheffield Star.

“I will be taking a break for a few weeks, recharge the batteries and make my mind up. I’m still number one in Britain so maybe that’s something I’ll be looking at.”
