WBC #1 ranked middleweight contender, Marco Antonio "Veneno" Rubio, crossed his fingers and said the following - "Let us hope that Julio Cesar Chavez will become the new champion of the World Boxing Council on Saturday. He has everything necessary to take away the title from Sebastian Zbik of Germany."

Rubio is in line to face the winner of the Saturday's fight between Chavez and Zbik, taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Rubio can also fight Zbik, but he realizes that a fight with Chavez, in Mexico, will bring him a lot more money. Before he looks too far ahead, Rubio has to win his fight with Ricardo Marcelo Ramallo (11-3-1, 7 KOs) at the Forum Polanco in Mexico City, which also takes place on Saturday.

"It appears that Chavez Jr. will arrive in excellent physical condition and very focused to win the world title," Rubio said. "I can tell you right now that if Chavez wins, we are very interested in facing him at the new stadium in Coahuila," Rubio said.
