The major show in Riga, Latvia, which is pre-planned for July 26 at the Skonto stadium, is the subject of changes, as previously announced foes are being withdrawn for various reasons. The show, which is co-promoted by Russian Kirill Pchelnikov and his local partner Andrejs Platonovs features boxing icons Roy Jones Jr. and James Toney in separate fights, according to the matchmaker of the show Oleg Bogdanov. Toney (76-9-3, 46 KOs) was previously scheduled to take on hulking Russian Evgueny Orlov (15-12-1, 11 KOs). Boxrec has him listed fighting an ever dangerous TBA now.

More is known about the future counterparts of Russian imports Maxim Vlasov (29-1, 14 KOs) and Aik Shakhnazaryan (12-0, 4 KOs). WBC #5, IBF #6, WBA #12 and WBO #14 super middleweight Vlasov, who was previously said to be fighting a rugged light heavyweight bomber Dmitry Sukhotskiy (22-2, 16 KOs), will now be pitted against a lesser foe in Argentinean veteran and ex-world title challenger Ruben Eduardo Acosta (28-9-5, 10 KOs). Sukhotskiy has reportedly experienced some legal issues following his dispute with promoter Vitaliy Supichenko.

WBO #9 light welterweight Aik Shakhnazaryan was listed fighting Kaizer Mabuza (25-11-3, 15 KOs) but the latter failed to get a Latvian visa; hence Shakhnazaryan will take on another sub in Argentinean. His name wasn’t disclose but sources with knowledge indicate that fighter can be either Ramon de la Cruz Sena (18-11-2, 11 KOs) or Luis Alejandro Moreno (16-5-5, 11 KOs).
