Madison Square Garden, New York City - Junior middleweight contender Delvin Rodriguez (26-5-3, 14KOs) got the biggest win of his career, a dominating ten round decision over Pawel Wolak (29-2) in their rematch on Saturday night. Unlike their "Fight of The Year" encounter which ended in a draw this past July, Rodriguez stuck to his boxing and won the majority of the rounds.

"The tactic that we practiced for much of camp, was to stay low. When I stay low I feel much stronger. Also he's a guy that throws wild hooks. I'm tall but if you're standing tall all the time it's easy to get you. I saw that in the first fight. We tried to correct that and I think we did a good at it," Rodriguez said.

In the tenth round, Rodriguez rallied hard and came close to stopping Wolak in the fight. He threw multiple combinations and tried to secure a knockout win. Rodriguez wanted to avoid the possibility of another lackluster decision.

"If you follow my career. There have been so many times when I was winning so close but I didn't get the decision. That was the first thing that me and my trainer talked about in the corner, that if we have a chance [to get a knockout] - to go for it. That second wind just kicked in and I wanted to take his head off. I wanted to finish with a knockout," Rodriguez said.
