The fight is back on. BoxingScene.com was advised by Gaby Penagaricano, of Miguel Cotto Promotions, that undefeated Luis Cruz (17-0, 14KOs) has accepted the offer to face former world champion Roman "Rocky" Martinez (24-1-1, 15KOs) in a Showtime televised bout on April 16 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Cruz-Martinez will be the television opener to the featherweight clash between WBO champion Juan Manuel Lopez and challenger Orlando Salido.

The WBO has approved Cruz-Martinez as a final eliminator for a shot at super featherweight champion Ricky Burns. Last week the bout nearly fell through after Cruz issued a demand for more money. Further discussions were held and a deal was reached.
