Cuba's undefeated Guillermo "The Jackal" Rigondeaux is finishing up his training for the upcoming fight against American boxer Teon Kennedy, taking place on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The super bantamweight world champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA) has scheduled two more sessions of sparring which are going to be held on Wednesday, May 30th, and the last one on Saturday June 2nd.

Rigondeaux (9-0, 7 KOs) and his team reported that they are fine-tuning the final details to ensure the Cuban star is in best physical and technical condition for Kennedy (17-2-1, 7 KOs). Rigondeaux is making the first defense of the WBA super bantamweight title that he snatched from Rico Ramos in January of this year.

Last week, Rigondeaux was assisted by 122-pound prospect Hairon Socarras and before that he had the support of Yenifiel Vicente. The Rigondeaux team invited the media to attend the final two sparring sessions.

Also, on Sunday June 3rd Rigondeaux will be at the Dolphin Mall in Miami signing autographs and greeting the public by sign t-shirts, gloves and taking pictures with fans.
