Promoter and former champion Ricky Hatton is confident that undefeated Martin Murray can pull off the upset of the year with a knockout shocker of WBC middleweight champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez on Saturday night at the Estadio Jose Amalfitani of Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires. Martinez (50-2-2, 28 KOs) vs. Murray (25-0-1, 11 KOs) is promoted by Sampson Boxing LLC,  Wonder Box and DiBella Entertainment.

"Martin is very confident. He knows what he has to do [in order to] leave with the title in the champion's backyard. But we are all very positive. We know the challenge, but we did not come here just to take a stroll. Sergio will have to work the full three minutes of every round. We know that Sergio defeated Matthew Macklin and Darren Barker, but I think that Martin Murray is much better than those two. He is much faster, has more freshness and has higher confidence level, since he went to Germany and had a draw with Felix Sturm. So there is no reason not to come here determined to win," Hatton said to BoxingScene.com/NotiFight.com.

"Sergio is counter-puncher, very fast, but Martin will catch him. He's young, ambitious and hungry for glory. He knows what to do. Any result will be a good result. But I imagine Martin winning before the end [of the fight], in the late rounds. It is a great challenge. I keep saying to Martin, this is what I went through in 2005. Nobody expected anything other than Kostya Tszyu beating me, but I ended up knocking him out. He has to have the same attitude. And I know he can do it. He can stop Martinez in the later rounds."
