Wonder kid Rey Loreto did it again!    Against all odds he pulled an exciting win in Thailand.  Unheralded Filipino Rey "The Hitman" Loreto of Calinan in Davao City, became the new WBA interim Pan Asian Jr. Flyweight king by defeating via technical decision world-ranked former WBA world champion Pornsawan Porpramook (28-6-1, 17 KOs) today (Aug 23) in Bangkok, Thailand.

It's the second time that the 22 year-old Loreto scores an impressive win in the kingdom of smiles.

Two years ago - also as a huge underdog - Rey Loreto pulled off a thrilling knockout victory by pummeling and knocking out WBA world-ranked Wisanu Kokietgym (43-9-2, 13 KOs) at the Chaleena Hotel in Bangkok.

Today's win will likely catapult Loreto back to the WBA Jr. flyweight (108 lbs) world rankings, a weight class where the unbeaten ruler is Nicaraguan slugger Román "Chocolatito" González (35-0, 29 KOs).

Loreto was assisted in Thailand by his coach Joven "JJ" Jorda of Iloilo City.

The Loreto-Pornsawan televiside PABA title clash was a production veteran Thai boxing promoter Niwat Laosuwanwat, head of Galaxy Boxing.
