Rey ' Boom Boom' Bautista is set to face Jose 'Negro' Ramirez in the main event of Pinoy Pride 19 which will be the first time the Philippine's premier boxing event, organized by ALA Promotions, has headed to Davao.

Bautista (34-2) will be defending the WBA International Featherweight Title which he won by by beating Daniel Ruiz at Pinoy Pride 17 last October. His opponent, Ramirez (24-3), has a reputation as a big hitter with 15 knockouts to his name.

This will be the first time that  Ramirez has ever fought outside of Mexico and he will be taking a big step up in opposition against 'Boom Boom'. Bautista has won eight straight fights and is looking to get back into world title contention after falling short at the final hurdle first time around when he was stopped by Daniel Ponce de Leon in 2007.

The co main event is another matchup between Mexican and Filipino fighters with Rocky 'The Road Warrior' Fuentes going up against Juan “Loquito” Kantun. Fuentes (34-6-2) is the OPBF Flyweight Champion and has won 14 straight fights while Kantun (20-3-3) holds the WBC World Youth Flyweight Title.
