Yoandris “El Niño” Salinas 20-0-1 (13 KO's) could face English fighter Scott Quigg very soon - if his promoter Carlos Rodriguez from Dream Team Boxing Promotions could finalize a reasonable agreement with the British fighter's handlers, and avoid having both sides head to a purse bid for this WBA super bantamweight world title fight.

"We are negotiating with Quigg's managers and we hope that everything could be done for the benefit of both sides. We are ready to make this fight either here in the U.S. and we are even willing to fight in England as well, but unfortunately we do not see the same enthusiasm from Quigg's team," said Mr. Carlos Rodriguez.

"This is a world title fight, and we believe that the terms should be in line with the importance that this fight deserves. Salinas and our team is ready to fight for the WBA world title anywhere in the world. We will exhaust all of our resources to reach a satisfactory agreement and we want Quigg's team to know that...let's make this fight!"

Salinas is trained by his coach Osmiri Fernandez in Miami, and since negotiations began to make this fight, Yoandris is motivated and very happy:

"This is the opportunity that every boxer hopes for in his life. I am confident in my skills and understand that I must be in shape to enter the fight of my life. The fans pay to see a fight, and we believe that the greatest respect that we can show to them is to arrive in the most optimal condition to secure a title. And since we started in professional boxer this was our goal. Now we have the opportunity and we are not going to waste it," added Salinas.
