Here are results from the Regis Prograis-Juan Jose Velasco undercard Saturday at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.

In the third bout Saturday, junior middleweight prospect Charles Conwell knocked out Travis Scott with a body shot in the second round of a fight scheduled for six rounds.

Conwell backed Scott into the ropes as soon as the second round started and appeared to buzz Scott with a right hand about 15 seconds into that round. Conwell landed a hard left to Scott’s body that sent Scott to the canvas with 1:13 to go in the second round.

Scott couldn’t get up and referee Bruce McDaniel stopped the fight at 1:38 of the second round.

Cleveland’s Conwell, 20, improved to 8-0 and recorded his sixth knockout. The 37-year-old Scott, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, lost by knockout in a second straight fight (19-4, 5 KOs, 1 NC).

In the first fight on the card, Fazliddin Gaibnazarov beat Kevin Johnson by unanimous decision in an eight-round junior welterweight fight. The previously unbeaten Johnson gave Gaibnazarov trouble at times, particularly with his straight right hand in the third and sixth rounds, but overall, Gaibnazarov was busier and landed more clean punches.

Uzbekistan’s Gaibnazarov, who won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, won by the same score, 78-74, on each of the three scorecards.

Gaibnazarov improved to 5-0 (2 KOs). Detroit’s Johnson suffered his first professional defeat (5-1, 4 KOs).

Gaibnazarov went down right after the midway point of the eighth round, but it was the results of their legs getting tangled. Neither fighter appeared hurt at any point in their fight.

After Gaibnazarov’s victory, Juan Carlos Rivera didn’t need nearly as much time to beat Angel Luna.

Rivera, a featherweight prospect from Puerto Rico, stopped the Dominican Republic’s Luna in the first round. Rivera (14-0, 9 KOs) hurt Luna with a left hook just 39 seconds into their scheduled eight-rounder and Luna never recovered.

Rivera continued to hit him with left hooks and overhand rights, until Luna went down with 1:41 to go in the first round. The fight was stopped immediately.

Luna (11-5-1, 6 KOs) lost a fourth straight fight. He has been knocked out in three of those fights.
