Javier "Implacable" Prieto, the World Boxing Council Silver lightweight champion and co-promoted by Pepe Gomez of Cancun Boxing  and Memo Rocha´s Boxing Time Promotions, claimed he won't let go of the upcoming opportunity of conquering the WBC lightweight championship, which is currently vacant.

 

“The fight of his life” as Prieto (24-7-2, 18 KOs) stated will be against former champion Jorge "Golden Boy" Linares (37-3, 24 KOs) of Venezuela and it will be held at the on December 30th at the Metropolitan Gym in Tokyo, Japan.

Prieto has a double daily session looking to get in the best physical condition with strength and speed. It has been analyzed that Linares has the edge in boxing skill.
