Liverpool's David Price will meet promotional stablemate Tom Dallas after the withdrawal of 'Big' John McDermott from Saturday night's British heavyweight title eliminator.  A throat infection has KO'd John leaving it up to Dallas, 15-0 (11), to step into the lion's den - the bout takes place at Liverpool's Olympia venue.  Promoter Frank Maloney has confirmed the clash of the undefeated talents.

A 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, Price, 10-0 (8), must fancy his chances; his last outing was an impressive single stanza icing of Raphael Butler on April 27.  Dallas, though, struggled to find form in his last fight, a decision win over Zack Page on May 13.  With McDermott waiting in the wings to take on the winner, Dallas will have to find some form if he is to get to the British belt.

Standing at 6' 8'', Price is an imposing figure.  The 27-year-old has a few inches on Tom, 26, and has looked the better long-term bet thus far in their pro careers.  Tom, however, has it all to gain and will come up from Kent with thoughts of erasing that blip against Page at the forefront of his mind.
